On the morning of August 5th, STL Communications will offer a FREE exclusive screening of “Suicide Squad” on its opening day at the Galaxy Theater in Chesterfield. I think it’s safe to say that DC’s big summer movie is going to be killer (good killer, not bad killer). While I am not inherently the biggest comic-book-guy, there is an inner nerd that surfaces whenever a superhero (or, in this case, supervillain) film like this is released.
“Suicide Squad” has all the makings of a captivating flick: the trailer is awesome, the cast is stellar (hot!), and the premise of supervillains being hired to help in government black-ops missions is intense. It sounds like there is going to be action, horror (google the “Enchantress” character from the movie – creeeeeepy) and maybe even a little romance (the Joker and Harley Quinn – talk about electrifyingly dysfunctional) for those of us that look for that sort of thing in movies (go ahead and raise your hand – no one will see).
Right before the movie, we also have two partners – Nimble Storage and Avaya Networking – who will be offering brief presentations. Both companies are leaders in their fields and will be providing information about how to best keep your organization’s technology systems running smoothly and safely. You’ll also get the opportunity to learn a little about STL Communications – like why we have a bus covered in superheroes and how we have been fighting the “bad guys” for almost 27 years. After these short talks, you’ll be treated to a delicious breakfast and then the big event – the movie begins at 10:30am. It’s a (good) killer excuse for a technology team to get out, have some fun on a Friday morning and learn throughout the process.
On top of it all, there are whispers that a supervillain or two might be available for photo ops and selfies. Also, one of the folks in the picture to the left might be dressed as the fearless, evil and beautiful “Harley Quinn.” Can you guess which one?
This premier event is open to technology professionals and their teams. We are expecting a full crowd, so it’s important to register in advance – register here! Please note: Movie tickets will be handed out at the event. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to Kim Kelley at kimkelley@stlcom.com or (314) 205-7150. #Icannotwait #SuicideSquad
