Desktop support is part of our Total Desktop Management offering. This offering provides a proactive solution to keeping your desktops up to date with updates and patches as well as 24×7 monitoring to ensure your systems are healthy. Help desk support is available to troubleshoot issues when they arise.
There are a few things you can do before calling for help. The first thing you can do is restart your computer. This single step will often remedy the problem you are experiencing, especially if your computer is waiting for a reboot to complete updating. If this does not resolve the issue you are having, contact our Help Desk for support. If you have internet access, we can remotely connect to your computer to diagnose and remedy your issue. Be prepared to show the technician what is happening to aid in a resolution.
Other things you may want to consider:
- Is the computer using battery power or connected to power via cord? If battery, connect via power cord.
- Is the computer connected to the internet via wired or wireless network? If wireless, connect via cord to a wired network. If wired, try connecting to a different jack. If wired try a different cord. If wireless, are other devices connected to wireless and working?
- Are there power issues in your office/building?
