Steve Leidholdt has been part of the communications industry for over 25 years. His career began with several smaller companies and Southwestern Bell. His desire to extend a high standard of customer service and quality to a level he could be proud of prompted him to start his own company.
In addition to his responsibilities as president of STL Communications, Leidholdt has been involved in many parts of the communications industry on a national basis, serving as a committee chair, board member and most recently President of the North American Association of Communications Dealers (NATD). A long-time advocate of AT&T, Lucent and Avaya Dealer programs, he has served on various advisory committees and boards, including the Avaya Dealer Council from 2001 to 2003.
Heading up such strategic areas as systems installations, warehousing, purchasing and IT, as well as human resources, Greg Bell possesses an in-depth understanding of the role STL Communications, Inc. plays in the success of its customers – and with twenty plus years of logistics experience and top notch people, he ensures the resources are in place to meet these demands.
Greg has built an excellent installations and services group, recruiting some of the most talented technical people in the St. Louis area. From project managers and software specialists, to technicians specializing in upgrades and new system implementations, the STL Communications, Inc. services group has the technical skills and work ethic to ensure success on projects of any size.
Beginning his career more than two decades ago in the grocery business, his relocation to the St. Louis area in 1996 opened new opportunities to demonstrate his dedicated work ethic and keen problem-solving abilities. He also remains active with the St Louis Regional Growth Association.
Dave Leidholdt is STL Communication’s Vice President of Sales and comes to the position with many years of industry experience.
Dave graduated from Southern Illinois University with degrees in Avionics and Advanced Technical Studies and began his work career with McDonnell Douglas Electronic Systems as a member of the Quality Engineering team.
After 3 years of employment with them, he took a leap of faith and accepted a position with a very new and small (at the time) STL Communications as their ninth employee. He initially was STL’s first office manager, then purchasing manager and later moved to a full-time sales position in 1993.
Dave decided to pursue other ventures in technology for several years outside STL including a stint with a data focused company and a managed services organization.
In 2015, Dave reunited with STL Communications; first as a senior salesperson and now as Vice President of Sales. His 27 years of industry experience provide him with the extensive knowledge and expertise required to lead STL’s sales team.
Kyle Van Ness initially came to work at STL Communications in our Inside Sales team and was promoted to Manager of Inside Sales – designing and implementing STL’s unique sales training program. In this role, Kyle supports the ongoing needs of many of our STL managed service customers, ensuring that their day to day needs are met as our customers (and technologies) change and grow.
Kyle has a keen ability to create masterful sales representatives out of new employees who may have little to no sales experience. With his help, employees are able to smoothly transition into Outside Sales.
Ellen Gore has over 30 years of experience in the world of accounting and human resources. She spent her first 10 years with STL Communications as a senior accounts receivable specialist. For the past 14 years, Ellen has been head of accounting and oversees the rest of the financial staff.
Ellen has two children, Jeremy and Jennifer, as well as adorable grandbabies and granddogs. Ellen’s responsibilities include all of accounting and finance, in addition to onboarding new employees, managing our 401k and employee benefits.
